1st May 2019 - 15th May 2019
Our Gardens Heritage Development Manager Pippa Coles will take you on a tour of the lesser explored design features of Abbotsford’s gardens. See how Abbotsford changed in the Victorian era and discover the vision of Scott’s grand-daughter, Charlotte Hope Scott, and her husband in achieving privacy and spacious grandeur through landscaping.
From colourful rhododendrons and bluebells along the Woodland Gardens to changing views along the Tweed, this tour runs exclusively for the Scottish Rhododendron Festival to look at the story of Abbotsford’s gardens after Sir Walter Scott.
Tour runs on Wednesday 1st of May and Wednesday 15th May at 11:30am
This tour is free to visitors to the house and gardens. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. It is possible to prebook spaces by phone on 01896 752043
