Join us to celebrate Sir Walter Scott's 248th birthday.
Enjoy an afternoon of family summer fun with a variety of activities and an evening of rare theatre to mark the anniversary of Scott's birth.
The fun kicks off at 2pm with children's activities including street style entertainment and circus workshops, face painting, origami bug making and woodland trail.
Other events include music from Riddle Fiddles, an entertaining 'Tug of War' between local town officials, poetry readings, storytelling, as well as an evening performance from Selkirk Silver Band at 6:30pm.
The festivities conclude with a rare performance of Scott's play ' Macduff's Cross', in the exclusive setting of Abbotsford's library, by Joot Theatre Company at 7:30pm. This event is now SOLD OUT.
