Summer Holiday Outdoor Activities

Join Ranger Anna for some outdoor fun with our school holiday activities, every Thursday 7th July- 4th August.

From scavenger hunts to potion making, choose the best activities for your wee explorers from the schedule below.

These are drop-off children's activities. Each activity will last 1 hour.

Price: £5 per child.

Natural Crafts: Scavenger hunt and green men faces (ages 6-8)

Join the Ranger on a scavenger hunt to collect natural items to create your very own green man face out of clay.

Natural Crafts: Nature weaving (ages 8-11)

Join the Ranger to weave your very own loom out of nature.

Thursday 14th July

Magic potions and fairy homes (ages 6-8)

Join the Ranger to make your very own magic potion and cast a spell at Abbotsford.

Butterfly Bonanza (ages 8-11)

Join the Ranger for butterfly themed activities on the Abbotsford Estate.

Minibeast hunt (ages 6-11)

Join the Ranger on a minibeast hunt and try out different ways of looking for little critters.

Additional Information

  • Meet at the picnic benches on the meadow outside Abbotsford's Visitor Centre. Parents/guardians need to check their child in with the Ranger before leaving. Pick up will be from the picnic benches. Children will need to be signed out with the Ranger when picked up.
  • Children need to come prepared for all weathers: wet weather gear, sun hats and sun cream etc. We will be outside whatever the weather!
