The historic house and gardens are open from March to November every year, while our visitor centre and café are open all year round; we look forward to welcoming you.

Last entry one hour before closing time. Last orders are 30 minutes before closing time. Please note: The historic house and Ochiltree's Café will close early on Saturday the 1st of June for a wedding. See our news article for details.

The Playtrail & Estate are open all year for dog walking, picnics and your enjoyment. Admission is Free.

Dogs Welcome

At Abbotsford, we absolutely love dogs, of all shapes and sizes and they are welcome on a leash throughout the grounds and gardens as well as our café, with access restricted only to the Visitor Centre Exhibition and the Historic House.

Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of the Visitor Centre, House, Gardens and wider estate and water is available on request.
