Volunteer Path Warden

Support us in caring for Scott’s woodland estate and help visitors enjoy the beautiful landscape along the Tweed.

The Abbotsford Trust looks after 120 acres of land beside the Tweed, made up of meadow and native woodland, much of it planted by Sir Walter Scott himself. A major restoration of Scott's woodlands and paths has recently been completed.

We are now looking for volunteers to help us ensure that all visitors to the woodlands can enjoy the designed landscape. This role would suit someone able to walk reasonable distances and who is relatively local to Abbotsford.

To apply, please download and complete the Volunteer Registration Form.

For more details of the role, please download a Volunteer Path Warden Role Description.

An application pack containing copies of the role description and application form are also available through the post. Please call us on 01896 752 043 to request a pack.
