We are no longer taking applications for this post, thank you for your interest. 17th June 2019
Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott in the Scottish Borders, is one of Scotland’s most important heritage sites. Following completion of a multi-million £ redevelopment, and now with easy access from Edinburgh along the new Borders Railway, we are focussing on developing our trading performance. As we prepare for the 250th anniversary of Scott’s birth in 2021, this is an exciting time to join Abbotsford as a member of the visitor services team.
In this role you will assist the Visitor Services Manager by undertaking a range of retail stock tasks and providing general administrative support to the front of house team. You will ensure that retail purchases and stock are accurately entered onto our management system, and the shop is always well-stocked and displayed. As a small independent charity operated by staff and volunteers, a positive approach to team working and customer care is a must.
21 hours a week, £8.21 to £8.34 per hour (£14,942 - £15,179 per annum, pro rata). We are open to discussions on flexible working patterns over 7 days a week.
