Volunteer Open Morning

27th Jan 2018

Whether you have a few hours or several days a month to dedicate to a new project, The Abbotsford Trust is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to get involved and help make a difference.

Sir Walter Scott’s Abbotsford is one of the most famous literary houses in the world. Maintaining, presenting and sharing this 5 star-rated tourist attraction is a major challenge for a small charity and volunteers are absolutely crucial to Abbotsford’s success. From welcoming visitors at the ticket desk to ensuring they have an enjoyable visit to the historic house or helping maintain the gardens and estate, there are many varied roles. For 2018, we're also looking for minibus drivers as well as events and estate volunteers. We're particularly keen to hear from people with time to spare on weekends.

We have roles to suit all ages and interests, so stop by on our open day to find out more!

This is a free event, running from 10am to 1pm on the day; staff and volunteers will be on site to answer your questions.
