We are offering an entry level opportunity to join the team responsible for the upkeep and management of an internationally renowned house and museum collection. You’ll have the support of colleagues working in the fields of heritage management, interpretation and community engagement who will provide ‘on the job’ mentoring and training, calling upon Abbotsford’s wider professional network when required. As such it may suit either a recent graduate, or somebody with strong administrative experience and a passion for history and heritage seeking to broaden their skills in a challenging and rewarding place of work.
Personable, efficient and a fast learner, with excellent IT skills and accuracy, you’ll enjoy working behind the scenes in a small and busy team, and be equally keen to engage with visitors and volunteers from a broad range of backgrounds with enthusiasm and confidence. You’ll bring a flexible approach to work, have a flair for problem-solving and be comfortable with a varied workload of administrative, practical and communicative tasks. 28 hours per week, £10,920 – £11,657 pro rata pa based on experience (f/t £13,650-£14,572)
